The Wheel Support Rack is one of the most versatile bike racks in the Pendle Bike Racks range. It will fit almost every vehicle with a tow bar fitted (please refer to our fitting guide). The bicycle wheels are supported by D-loops attached to the main frame of the rack and each bike is held separately in its own support. Individual vertical arms separate the bicycles from each other in order to ensure non-contact between bikes during transit.

BIKES CAN BE MOUNTED WITH NO FUSS AND IN NO TIME AT ALL.

You cannot tow with this particular rack because of its platform style design.

Supplied with the Behind the Ball Tow Bar Mounting, which is designed for standard 2 bolt flange type tow bars and the mounting block bolts between the tow ball and the towing bracket.

The Wheel Support Rack is an ideal purchase for growing families as a 2 Bike Wheel Support Rack can be converted into a 3 or a 4 Bike Wheel Support Rack with the purchase of extra parts. This can also work the other way too as the extra parts can be bought which convert a 4 Bike Wheel Support Rack into either a 2 or a 3 Bike Wheel Support Rack so you can easily downgrade your rack capacity should there be occasions when you do not need the original rack's full capacity. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OF OUR TOWBAR RACKS OPERATE A QUICK RELEASE SYSTEM FROM THE TOWBAR MOUNTING BLOCK USING A PATENTED SECURING PIN WHICH PASSES THROUGH THE BLOCK AND THE BOTTOM OF THE RACK.

The Wheel Support Rack is supplied with a lighting unit.

Children's Attachments:

We can provide "children's attachments" which have been designed to fit small infant/junior cycles with smaller wheelbases. They are made up of a smaller chassis and smaller D-loops. These should be asked for at time of purchase.

Wider D-loops:

We can also provide wider D-loops to fit wider bicycle tyres. Standard D-loops are 2 inches wide, whereas the wider D-loops are 3 inches wide. These again should be asked for at time of purchase.

Heavy Duty Wheel Support Rack:

As we recommend that each cycle placed on our bike racks weighs no more than 15kg, bikes such as downhill and electric bikes are normally too heavy for our racks. However, we have developed a heavy duty wheel support rack, which will take 2 heavier bicycles weighing no more than 25kg each. The heavy duty wheel support racks come with wider 3 inch D loops as standard.
